We were thrilled to collaborate with MIT’s SMArchS in History, Theory, and Criticism to develop the preliminary prototype for MIT’s sound art and sonic interventions mapping archive, Resonating MIT.

Working to customize a conceptual visual theme with Open Locast, the MIT Mobile Experience Lab’s location-based media platform, we designed an ambient typographic identity, a suite of “pin” icons, and custom Mapbox tiles.

To help frame our creative approach, we summoned the historical visual voices of Muriel Cooper, the Center for Advanced Visual Studies, and the intricate works of contemporary music composers like John Cage.
