We designed the Detroit Future Media Guide to Digital Literacy to celebrate the work of Detroit’s Digital Justice Coalition. The guide has dual functions: as a storytelling device and as a curriculum.
It tells the story of “futurists,” the students who took part in the Detroit Future Media program and learned new skills to enrich their small businesses, their communities, and their homes. The guide also demonstrates the process that Detroit Future Media used to design its curriculum by weaving in workshop samples, lesson plans and worksheets.
Our diverse design allows the guide to reach a broad audience, from a foundation executive looking to fund projects around digital literacy, to a neighborhood association embarking upon social media workshops. It also features the new brand identity we developed for Allied Media Projects.
